2 Big Milestones!!

As I helped Leka floss her teeth tonight I thought her front teeth looked a little crooked--Then, I noticed she has two new molars coming in in back...And I thought 'can she get new teeth w/out losing some first?' -- And you guessed it! Leka Has Her First Loose Tooth!! :)

She's really excited for the Tooth Fairy to come!--Nase went to bed early so Leka wasn't able to show him & I wasn't able to ask how much the Tooth Fairy pays out ;) ...Not sure when she'll want to pull it out--I can tell she's nervous about it, but I think excitement will win over nervousness. (Just so long as I don't take her to that movie with The Rock in a tutu playing the Tooth Fairy! ;)

As fun & exciting as it is, there's a tinge of bittersweetness to it because my little girl is that much more grown up!...It's a fun age for Leka & me right now because I can remember doing a lot of the things she does at home & at school--she brought home artwork of the 3 Billy Goats Gruff today & told us the story...I remember learning that story in Kindergarten--fun stuff :)

(Oh, & maybe to make it 2&1/2 milestones--Leka is starting to sound out words! :)

And #2: Austin Tu'itahi is Almost Potty Trained!

...I say Almost because most of the times he goes we remind him to do so. But he's had very few accidents lately & he's been waking up dry...and he Is deciding to go on his own more. --Pretty soon I'll do a trial day w/out the reminders & see how he does...but I'm excited to soon be a diaper/pull-up free home!! :D
