Leka's Birthday

My Baby Girl Turned 7 this weeek!

The pretty birthday girl...I've really been blessed to be given such a wonderful first-born daughter! She's fun & beautiful & kind & helpful and a huge joy in my life!

B-Day girl & her bro (soon we'll have the 3 musketeers :)
(you can see #3 in the reflection ;)

The Fri. before Leky's b-day she had a friends party... a lot of family vacations in July so only half the kids she invited were able to come (but that actually made it easier for me, and it was still a lot of fun. I would have liked to invite all our out-of-town cousins & friends, but I was Too pregnant to throw a big party(!)
We had lunch..

and cupcakes..
Leka chose rainbow cupcakes
We did a water party.. Slip'n Slide
..Pool
..Presents
(Leka has liked little princess dolls since she was 4--now they have these Squinkies that are even more miniature.)

When Daddy came home from work he brought something Really fun!
(for everyone, not just Leka--but it sure made for a good day!) :)

Leka remembered that last year I put balloons & a present in her room the night before her birthday--she was definitely hoping for the same thing this year (looks like it's going to be a tradition.)
So for her actual birthday I put up some decor...
And a personalized bag I made her w/a birthday shirt inside
(I may have found a new hobby--it was really fun to decorate this bag for her!)

The day of Leka's friends party she asked if she could decorate her room--I thought it was cute how she put up toilet paper streamers :)

For her birthday on Wednesday we went to "Old McDonalds" for lunch, then to Cars 2 (great movie!), then opened presents.

Sammy made Leka a Monster High card & got her a Monster High doll (it's an online game they like to play with these Barbie type monster girls...kinda cute :)
