The week in between our little family reunion and our big one, the kids and I stayed in Blanding at Grandma & Grandpa's house. It's good to have more time w/my parents and Tommy, and it's also a very neat and fun place to visit!
Leka and Austin loved the hot tub...I prefer just to soak and relax--but they like to swim around.
Beautiful view from the front yard--my parents (and Tommy) live a couple miles out of town on 2 acres...always great to go back to the country!

Salamanders!!
We had a big thunder storm & that night a bunch of salamanders came out--Leka (not at all creeped out) loved catching them and playing with them.
That big one is at least 10 inches long--we had to put him back out cause he kept escaping the bucket :p

On the swings--Leka's learning to pump & Austin goes on the big boy swing really good now (he will Not let you put him in the baby swing!)

Leka went fishing with Grandpa & me--she Loves fishing and caught a bunch of little bluegills. We took them home and let them swim in the sink. (afterwhich they became kitty snacks--they were too small to get fillets off of them)
Dino Museum
We also went to the dinosaur museum--and I really wish I'd had a camera on my cause even though Blanding is a tiny town it has a really cool dino museum (these pics are just a couple I got off its website--they didn't even have the coolest ones..t-rex & such) ... But Leka & Austin both Loved the museum! - Austin was a riot--he ran from one exhibit to the next saying "Hey guys!..Look! Cool!" :) -- Now we're going to have to check ou the dino museum at Thanksgiving Point sometime--it's supposed to be pretty cool.

Katie I adore your blog! I love the cute background; it is so you! It looks like your kids have the best time. You are such a wonderful mother. Do your parents live in the same house that I visited like I think 7 years ago? I loved their home, it was lovely. It is in such a gorgeous area. How many people can say in their back yard are these amazing Indian ruins? I remember your Mom, Annie and Tommy took us on that adventure and is was the highlight of our Southern Utah trip. I found a perfect arrow head and some pottery shards.
What a fun place to go and spend time. Blanding is central to a lot of cool places. Not that Blanding isn’t way cool! I love the picture of the kittens, wow they have amazing markings. Of course Leka and Austin are beyond adorable….Gorgeous Mother and handsome Father makes for great looking kids! Thank you for sharing these great pictures. I am sorry I have not left a comment sooner. We are having computer issues, where the computer crashes all the time. Makes it a bit frustrating when trying to get something done.
