Aug 9th & 10th was our annual Morris family reunion--something we've done since I was 10 & something I look forward to every year. My Dad's parents had 13 children so I have a lot of aunts & uncles & a ton of first (& second) cousins..we're all very close & have a tons of fun when we get together! Reunion was up Hobble Creek Canyon this year.
The first night was a bit of an adventure--we decided we needed more sleeping gear (at like 11pm...so Nase drove back down to the Springville Wal Mart & got some)...so it made for a late night, but at least we had a nice shady spot & the kids slept in nicely.

Mike, Nate and Tommy try to catch up on some zzz's the morning after a late night in the back of Nate's pickup.
Thanks to Chad for bringing and setting up the fun rope swing!! (and boo to the dumb park ranger who made us take it down :p ) I think we had a few good hours of fun on it, though.

Go Mike!

Even the little ones got in on the fun!

The guys damming up the river so we'd a nice deep pool to jump off the rope swing into.

Here we are watching them work--haha

Me braiding Mandy's long hair while we play Apples to Apples

Kid's wading pool--Leka and Sammy thought this was as fun as a waterpark!
Nase relaxes while Austin takes a nap (he's holding the chair over him cause the sun was hitting him)

Talented guys--teaching each other songs

Leka singing Twinkle Little Star

Creative Sammy--singing the songs she made up herself: "Rockin in the Summer" & "Little Red Riding Hood" - Quite the performer!

Grandpa & his children (I mean they really are just big kids ;)

Tommy's generation of cousins [a few are missing, but most of them] ... (Seems to me the cousins kind of come in 3 waves--there's a bunch around Tommy's age, a bunch my age, and a bunch older) ... I love watching this generation 'cause they're a lot like my bunch used to be.

Ok your family reunion looks beyond amazing. You are so lucky to have such a COOL family! So that was up at Hobble Creek, I do not recognize the camp ground. I have never camped up there, I have only gone picnicking! What the guys did to the creek was so fun, a little swimming pool Perfect! I have never swung on a rope across the water; definitely something I need to put on my to do list. Of course I would need deep water to brake my fall! I am sure the little kids thought it was the best thing ever.
Seeing Tommy with all the cousins his age sure took me back. We used to be that way with the Dingers. It is sad what happens when everyone grows up and moves too far away. Nathan is back East and Nicole is in Hawaii. It makes it hard to ever get together.
Loved the pictures looks amazing!
