Leka takes a nice dip
We had a fun week with them--we went to Sea Life Park
And to the Polynesian Cultural Center (where Nase worked at the time)

..And to the beach, of course. (I don't have many pics, but wish I did--We were boogie bording on the huge waves at Pounders Beach (and I totally got pounded trying to ride one :p ) ..Sammy loved the beach & was running all around.
Leka's such a waterdog--she loved the ocean as a little baby!

And Leka was blessed when they were there.
I love her dress--it's made by my Mom from the leftover fabric of my wedding dress (which I also had her make for me--I'm lucky to have a master seamstress for a Mother!)

2005:
And then we were back on the mainland (Clearfield UT to be exact)...the balmy beaches of Hawaii were nice (I could sure go for a vaca there this winter!), but our first Christmas back on the mainland I was So happy to have a real tree that we cut down ourselves...
..And to live not too far from Temple Square where we could go see the beautiful lights! (That's what we did Christmas Eve ''05)
Leka checks out the lit-up bushes...I Love going to Temple Square at Christmas time!!--we haven't been yet, but I'm really hoping we can go tomorrow night.
And it was So great to be closer to family...Here Leka & I are with my cousins, Chelsea & Krystal--I like the crazy background--we're in the conference center at TS.
Our little family, Christmas 2005
(Oh, and we had a white Christmas :)

2006:
We had a new bundle of Joy!--Austin was born in November & was only about 6 weeks old by Christmas.
Leka was the Sweetest big sister with her new baby brother!
Leka, Hunter & Sammy in the Christmas shirts great-grandma painted for them.
On Christmas day after opening presents we all went to a really neat place called Recapture Pockets (Austin was Not happy posing for the picture here... Jamie was pregnant with grandchild #5, Hannah)

I Love this picture of Sammy--we're getting a bunch of Diet Coke to try out Diet Coke-Mentos rockets.

2007:
Last year -- We went to Blanding again...we kind of decided last minute to go down--that way we got to see Robby's family the week before Christmas (they live in Kansas & we only get to see them a couple times a year)...And it was also good because when Nase had to leave on a work trip the day after Christmas I stayed with my family & wasn't left all alone w/the kids (he actually had to leave Christmas day to get to the airport early the next morning--Glad he doesn't have to do that again this year!)
Christmas morning--Austin Loves Maisy!
Sledding fun a few days before Christmas.
Austin looking like a cool dude!
The snowman we made last December
(Last winter was so crazy...I got sick of making snowmen because we were making them til April!) - I'm loving the White Christmas we're having, but I hope it will be a little more mellow than last winter!

A Muuppet Christmas Carol
(Just thought I'd throw this in--if you haven't seen it you have to! It's my favorite Christmas Movie!)

That was fun seeing all the past Christmas events sense the five years you and Nase have been married! It is so neat you had the experiences you did in Hawaii! I could so go for a trip there right about now. Of course with this beautiful white Christmas I can’t complain too much. Oh it is just a picture perfect winter wonderland!
Thank you for sharing the wonderful Christmas pictures that was a great idea! It is so fun when you do live by family because family just makes the holidays! Have you left for Blanding yet? I hope you get there safe and sound. I guess there are a few more snow storms that are to hit. Supposedly it will snow Christmas day! I hope so, I have always wanted that! Plus we need an opportunity to put the snow pants Mom got Charlie for Christmas to good use. Coming from Cali, poor Charlie does not have great snow gear!
Have a very Merry Christmas! I love you and thank you for being such a dear friend. Just a side note..for Jessica’s birthday we are going up as a family and putting luminaries on her grave and will spend time sharing memories of her. Oh how we all miss that girl, especially during the holidays! What helps me get through the difficult times is thinking what she must be doing to celebrate Christmas in Heaven. I am sure even my imagination does not even come close to just how glorious it is!
