So it's Happy 5th Anniversary for Nase & I - 5 years today!! (and we were even married on a Thursday, so it seems even more like 5 years to-the-day :) ...And I think we're just as happy today as we look in these wedding pictures on that day. We make a pretty great couple I think--we have a lot in common & we're happy togeteher - we can't claim perfection, of course... but one thing I can say is Nase is my best friend :) ..we have a lot of fun together and I Love him more than words can say (and I'm pretty sure he returns the same sentiments ;) :)
It's been nice having my best friend by my side these years as we've grown & become closer. (It's been especially nice having Nase for lots of hugs and support as my best girlfriend of all time, Jessica, passed away about a month ago.)
We are so lucky to be blessed with two wonderful and beautiful children! Our marriage and life have so much more meaning when they are added to the equation :)
So here I've posted some pictures from our wedding reception...and then some pictures looking back at our 5 years.

The Happy Couple :D

I love these pictures of Nase and I with my grandpa--he's an excellent role model of a spouse and parent... He's one of my heros!

Here I'm about to throw the boquet... (I loved my wedding hair--I was late for my wedding because it took so long :p ...but it was worth it :)

The dancing was especially fun at our "Big Fat Tongan Wedding" :D Here Nase is busting a move.
And the girls in a hula (I like how I actually look like I know what I'm doing here--lol) -- That's my darling cousin, Krystal on the right.

Here we are in a twirl--I'm glad my Aunt caught this picture.

2004: Leka came into our lives quite soon (our first anniversary was actually not much of a celebration because I was in labor :p :) We were just starving students at BYU-Hawaii (well, Nase was a student--I was graduated and putting him through college) ... but we couldn't have been happier to have our first born there with us -- We have a lot of fun memories with our little Leka in Hawaii :) (the ones before that were fun, too--I was teaching elementary school...Nase and I actually got to go to the movies :)
2005: Nase graduated in 2005 & we moved back to the mainland--it was so great to have the seasons again! In October Nase got a job in Ogden as a networker and we moved up to the area.
2006: Leka's sibling Austin was not too far behind her. Life got busier with 2 little ones; but it got better, too! - Austin was the sweetest little baby, and Leka was the sweetest big sister!
2007: It was soon apparent we needed a place with a yard for the kids to run around and play...we moved to our current home when Austin was about 4 mo's. (We love it here!) - Great neighbors, nice area. -- Leka and Austin soon became inseprable best friends playing all the time...they can be double the trouble, but they're for sure double the fun!

2008: And here we are today! (Don't think I'll put a summary of 08 'cause that's what my blog is)... but for our anniversary we have a fun weekend planned (Nase's sister, Lea, was going to watch the kids...but she broke her foot, poor gal!...and my sister's out of town) - So we'll just be having family fun--Leka's 4th birthday is on Sunday, so it'll be a combined b-day/anniversary weekend. We're going to go to the Lake probably Saturday for some fun...and go out to eat at some point. -- For today, our actual anniversary we are listening to music & having a BBQ & having fun :)

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! I think you guys do make a GREAT couple! Man... reading your blog makes me wish we lived closer to you. Oh, and you had me laughing w/ all your redneck foods!
Happy Anniversary! Time does fly doesn't it!? 5 years since the Tongan-American summer weddings! I'm hoping to go to Utah this winter on a skiing/sister visit, but we have to see where the finances are then. If we do make it I'll let you know!
Katie you always leave the most thoughtful and sweet comments on my blog. I look forward to receiving messages from you; they are my favorite to read. Thank you for your kindness, you are a great friend! I am sorry I have not written in a while, it has been busy.
First of all I want to thank you for the letter and the hearts you sent. My Mom and I have never been heart attacked. That just made our week, you are so incredibly thoughtful! Thank you very much, that meant so much to me and Mom. I went and put them on my Mom's front door while she was at a meeting and so when she came home the hearts greeted her. She loved it!!! You are amazing to have put that together and send it off before girls’ camp. Katie the wonder woman for sure!
Happy anniversary, 5 years! I love the pictures you posted of your wedding reception. You are the most beautiful bride and just continue to be gorgeous! I love your hair, man I hope in the next life I can have hair like you do. It seems like yesterday you got married, where does time go? What a wonderful five years you have had with your best friend and two darling children. Life is so precious when you are with the ones you cherish and adore. Thank you for sharing your pictures and the cute entry.
I will be out of town for a week or so. Going to Baker with Mom this Wednesday; we miss Steven and want to get away. I would like to see if I can get some huckleberries, if I find them I will bring some back to you! Mmmm huckleberry pancakes.
congrats, it goes fast doesn't it. I love your hair in your wedding pictures, it is soooo pretty.
