Utah Weather... Need I say more?
Although I know it's just one of those crazy cold fronts Utah is know for; I was Not thrilled to wake up to a blanket of snow on October 12th. The kids felt otherwise!--They were excited to play in it...didn't want to deprive them of their fun, so we bundled up & went out.

This is what Leka was most excited to do--make a snow angel...She got all wrapped up in the spirit of things & kept telling us Happy Holidays!..and making presents for us to open :) ..The snow melted today & she's back to Halloween.

It wasn't the best snow for sledding, but we gave it a whirl... We have a pretty good slope in the back--it should be fun for sledding this winter.

The weather forecast says it will get back up to 70 this weekend--Crazy Utah weather...one thing's for sure...if we Do get one more nice weekend we'll need to BBQ one last time!

Hey Katie I love the pictures on your blog! It looks like you all had so much fun playing in the snow. It was shocking to wake up Sunday morning and see all the white stuff. I know the weather man had said that it would snow but I always take his report with a grain of salt. Most of the time it is not accurate; well he was right on the money this time!
You look like you got more snow where you live then what we got here. Are you closer to the mountains on the bench? I love your Halloween decorations way cute! Perhaps we need to knit a little sweater for the tomato plant. All my flowers froze….man I did not want to prepare the flower beds for winter quite yet.
I am sorry I did not explain about Mom’s surgery when I told you she had had one. She had oral surgery. They had to make a huge incision on the roof of her mouth to go up under her pallet and remove her skin that they then grafted to her gums that were receding and exposing roots. They also cut a muscle (don’t remember the name of it but it is right above your front teeth) She has needed this done sense she was a child but when she was young they just did not have the money to get it taken care of. Because of this muscle being too tight it is what has caused her gums to pull and recede. So yes a lovely surgery. She has been in so much pain. She can’t eat anything but liquids and her mouth is full of stitches. It is been a rough recovery; bless her heart. This is the last of these type of surgeries; she has had two now. Next she will be getting braces!
can you believe this weather? I am glad that at least the kids can enjoy it because I would love snow to come just simply on Christmas. I love the pumpkins for the head though, that is cute.

Crazy weather!! I wonder if we will even get to see snow this year?! I know we will see lots of rain. The kids looked like they had fun.
I love the pumpkin head snowmen!! That is so creative and cute! Who thought of that? It's great!!! Now that the snow has melted I need to go mow my lawn one last time before winter.
